Congratulations Adam!!!!!

Hi all:

Congratulations to Adam Stacey from Moncton who came to St. John's and participated in the Tely 10 Road Race on Sunday July 27. In a field of over 2300 runners Adam placed second just a minute back with a time of 52:48. Great job for a first time participant and we are hoping that he comes back next year. Hopefully his brother Matt will return and run too.

Adam is now in Marystown enjoying a week's vacation with the rest of his family.

Hope You Are All Having A Great Summer

Hi there:

Not much news lately. I have been busy and haven't made the time to update. However, I feel it is time I did so and gave an update on what is happening. I am off for the summer but Gladys is still working. She had two weeks off and Cheryl came home for the second week. She went back to Toronto on Sunday July 13. She had a nice visit and it is always nice to have her home. She has some good news in that she took ownership of her condo yesterday. The painters are in the next few days and she should be able to move in next weekend. There is a photo taken below from her balcony not to be confused with one taken from ours in Marystown.

We spent a couple of days in St. John's and did a few touristy things. I have included a few photos below we took of us on George Street as well as one on the St. John's waterfront. As well one of our first trips when Cheryl got off the plane was to St. Phillips for fish and chips. Best in the province. You guys should check it out if you get here.

There is also a photo of Cheryl and her mother overlooking Aquaforte on the Southern Shore as well as one of Cheryl and me at the Vault - downtown St. John's restaurant having a glass of wine. Another photo is of Cheryl and her two cousins Kevin and Kare although they call her Aunt Cheryl. Plus a photo of Gladys and her favorite kind of canine friend. I couldn't resist putting that one in.

Other summer news: Pat is on his way to Newfoundland and should be in the province on July 19 while Kevin, Diane, Cory, Matt, Adam and Krisitne will be here on July 26 for a week. Joan, Alvin and Tyler are leaving for a 2 week vacation on July 24 with Joan going to Medicine Hat to visit Tracey, Leo, Josh and Emma while Alv and Tyler will go visit Terry, Gayanne, Matt and Robert in Toronto. As well Tracey, Leo and the kids will be returning with Joan for a couple of weeks. Also I hear that Junior and Nora will be coming for a visit sometime the first week of August.

Looks like a busy couple of weeks but we are up to the task. Do hope that more of you will be coming this way. Please forward any updates or make any corrections that need to be done here.
