Hope you are enjoying the summer or what there is of it. Here in Newfoundland it has been damp and cool with very few warm days. But hey, we are not complaining - we don't have to worry about heat waves.
Got an email from Diane yesterday filling me on my older brother, Kevin's recent achievement. He competed in a triathlon on Sunday August 14 and did quite well as you can see from the doctored photos below. Must be on HGH or something when he hit the big 60 this past April. I have to commend him for doing it but in a few years when I reach that age I might go for 36 holes that day instead of 18!! :-)
He did great in the bike and the run but the swim was not so good. He was DQ’d because of the swim but they let him do the other two events. Might have been one of the last out of the water but he passed quite a few in the bike. The Triathlon was 750m swim; 23km bike and 5km run. Those are Diane's words here
You see Adam running with his dad in a couple of photos. Adam had just finished doing a 20km run and was just running along to give a little support to DAD as he himself cooled down. They both look great. Had a disagreement with Gladys about Adam - she insists it's Matt. There also a great photo of Kevin, Diane, Adam and Kristin there which was taken after the race.
Pretty impressive there guy. I'm sure most of the rest of the Stacey clan will be proud of you! The others will think you're nuts!!
Perhaps we could write the organizers and have them do kayaking instead of swimming for the first stage!
