Winter Finally Comes to Marystown!!

Hi there:
Just when we thought Old Man Winter had passed us by without really a good old fashioned snow storm, Mother Nature brought us back to reality with a pounding all day Saturday and into last night. We had more snow yesterday than we had all the rest of the winter put together. I had to clear the driveway and deck three times yesterday of a foot of snow. There was as much there again this morning. As you can see from the photos below there is a lot of snow around considering that the only place you could find a bit of snow Friday was the bit of dirty stuff piled in parking lots. We got quite a lot of exercise in the last 24 hours. Today is nice and sunny, however. Gladys took a few shots while we were out clearing up this morning.
Below there is a couple of photos we took at a Great Big Sea concert in St. John's at Mile One Stadium on March 14. We enjoy that band and they put off a great concert. While there we noticed Therese seated just 4 rows ahead of us. Her friend went to the washroom so I went up, tapped her on the shoulder and asked, "Is this seat taken?". She said that yes it was as her friend was sitting there. She didn't recognize me at first but was a bit startled to see me I suppose. We talked at the end of the concert and had a photo taken.
Not a big lot of news here. Cheryl is on vacation this past week. She was in London for 3 days and then went to St. Petersburg, Russia for 5 days. She is flying back to London today and returns to Toronto on Monday evening. She is really enjoying her trip and would like to return there someday preferably in summer. If we get some pictures from her I'll post a few.
Cheryl is coming home for a week in July and as of now we have plans - not definite- to go to Toronto for a visit in August for a couple of weeks. Probably around the middle of the month.
Other than that not much news. Hope all is well with everyone. Stay in touch.

Barry
