Just a quick note along with a few photos taken this past weekend after our annual Grande Meadows Club Championship tournament.
I shot a score of 79 0n Sunday to win the Championship for the 3rd time by one stroke. I made a birdie on the very last hole and won over one of the people who led me by one stroke after Saturday's round.
We had a very windy Saturday where we had to contend with 80 km winds which came on the tail of Hurricane Maria which passed through Friday. Golfers were running after caps that blew off, constantly picking up golf clubs that blew over or in the case of one golf cart and bag - it blew into one of the ponds. The wind was blowing putts all over the place.
Sunday dawned a much better day - sunny with only light winds about 30km so everyone felt much better. The scores were quite a bit lower and I managed to shoot a much better score after having a 90 in the wind on Saturday.
Below are some photos taken during and after the awards presentation. I got a little keeper trophy that Gladys has sitting on top of the television stand. As well a couple of the photos are of two moose that I came very close to on Sunday morning at 7:15 am while on my way to the course. They came up off the side of the road from the brush and I was very close to them when I got the car stopped.
Hope all is well and enjoy the photos.
