First Snow Storm of the Season in Marystown

Hi all:

How would you have liked to wake up this on November 24? Well, we got hit with between 20 and 30 cm of snow overnight and from the photos below you can see there was quite a mess with daylight came today. It is the first time I remember having to use my snowblower before Christmas. There was just too much to use the shovel today so I got out my trusty Toro and it took me about 2.5 hours to get it all cleared away. Totals later showed that 39cm of the white stuff fell in Winterland. Apparently it was the most snow that fell in Newfoundland in November since 1972. As well it was a record for snowfall for November 24.
Pat you should have come back to clear snow again. Maybe we wouldn't have this if you had been here. I think we had our first snowfall near the end of January last year. The forecast has temperatures warming up over the next week with plus temperatures everyday and up to 10C for next Friday. Hopefully it will be all gone again by then. I am not ready to start humming, "It's Starting to Look a Lot Like Christmas" just yet.
Enjoy the photos and I'm sure you are jealous of us having so much of the white stuff.
Cheers,
Barry

P.S. The outside photos were taken by me showing the snow around our house as well as a couple of the parking lot next door and in front of Mrs. Brennan's house. There are three that Gladys took from inside showing the snow on the trees and steps.
