Hey there:
Another beautiful Sunday morning dawned and we didn't have to leave for our day's activities until 10:00am. I arose a little early, showered and was off to the Sofitel Hotel across the street to check on the NHL hockey contract negotiations. Well it seems like things were settled at around 5:00am that morning.
So for me it was off to St. Patrick's Cathedral to attend 9:00am mass. There was quite a crowd of people there and I was lucky in that I had two $1 American bills as they took up two collections that day. Well, my bills were folded up so that the number wasn't visible.
Once we got ready we were off for a horse and buggy ride in Central Park but along the way we checked out SAKS, Burgdorf Goodman (just looking at prices at those places) and FA) Schwartz. Some amazing stores there. From the photos below you can see that we had an enjoyable horse and buggy ride through Central Park which is a very active place at all times.
After finishing up our tour of the Park we dined on some of New York's finest street hot dogs which can be found near any of the tourist attractions. Then it was off to visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art which for someone like me who isn't artistically inclined, still made for a great visit.
Once we finished the Museum tour Greg had to leave for the airport as he had to get back to Toronto Sunday night for work Monday.
Our next visit was a walk to Bryant Park which has a very large outdoor skating rink as well as some restaurants and a bunch of booths set up selling different articles. It was very busy spot with lots of visitors milling around. It was all decked out for the Christmas season too.
Sunday night Cheryl, Gladys and I were back on Broadway to see the play Annie at the Palace Theatre. We enjoyed the show as it was very entertaining and very well done. Lots of energy shown by all the people involved.
We finished off our evening with a walk through Times Square and Rockefeller Plaza followed by a lunch and drink at the Blue Bar at the Algonquin Hotel. Great Finish to a great day. Only one more day left.
Enjoy.
Cheers,
Barry

Another building decorated for Christmas.
Still another decorated building.
These buildings look neat in the night time.
The decorations seem to bring them in.
