Colin's Daughter Hope

Hi there:
Below are some photo's of Colin's daughter Hope that were taken while on vacation at Golden Sands this summer in Burin, NL while the pics of her dancing to the music were taken at a bonfire near Lamaline. As you can see she is a little cutie with lots of energy. Gladys and I thinks she looks like her Aunt Pamela. As you may notice Colin is conspiciously absent from the photos so I assume that he was taking the photos!!! Include one of yourself and her next time so we can see if there is any resemblance!!!!
Thanks for sending the photos. Any others out there would be greatly appreciated. You may drop him a line at colinstacey@hotmail.com.
Cheers to all.

Happy 30th Anniversary Junior and Nora

Hi everyone:

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. Just have gotten a little lazy over the past couple of months. I was away on vacation for most of August and once I came home I had one week before I went back to work. That's my excuse for now. One of these days I'll put together a few photos and give a little news on our visitors during the summer.

For now I'd like to pass on Congratulations to Junior and Nora in Toronto as they celebrate their 30th wedding anniversary on Tuesday September 29. I found a photo of their wedding day in 1979 and have included it with one of them both which was taken on Junior's 60th birthday on September 9. A very busy month for JR. Fine looking guy for 60, eh! We all hope you enjoyed your birthday celebration and your anniversary.

You may send congratulations to them by email at : norastacey@hotmail.com or you may phone them at 905-678-1542. I'm sure they would be happy to hear from you all. Congratulations JR and Nora!

Barry

P.S. Junior and Josie have the same birthday but I don't think I'm allowed to tell her age!!!

Belated Happy 64th Birthday, Pat!!

Hi all:
Just a note to wish Pat a belated Happy 64th birthday, which he celebrated on July 18. Also Happy Birthday goes out to Brian who celebrated his ?? birthday on July 14.

It seems that they both celebrated during a get together of the Stacey and Cousins clans this past weekend somewhere north of Toronto although from the photos which Marylou Cousins sent along I can only see one birthday cake! From looking at the photos, it seems like all were having a good time and enjoying themselves. Nice 6 handed game of crib going there too.

Thanks Marylou and hope you all enjoying seeing them.

Happy Father's Day from Marystown

Hi to all the Fathers out there:
Just a note to wish all you Dad's a very Happy Father's Day.
Things are good here in Marystown. The weather has been absolutely phenomenal here lately with temperatures in the mid to high 20's - kind of Ontario like weather in June. We are actually crying out for a drop of rain. Who would have thunk it, for the 20th of June!!!
I had a early Father's Day gift from Cheryl. It was a once in a lifetime trip for me. I got a call last Wednesday, June 11 at 3:00pm to see if I would fly up to Toronto and go to Detroit with her and a couple of friends to watch Game 7 of the Stanley Cup finals between Detroit and Pittsburgh. It didn't take long to make up my mind. I flew to Toronto on Thursday evening and we drove to Detroit for Friday's game. Cheryl's friend and co-worker Don Waters drove us along with Cheryl's friend and former co-worker Nicole Frew to the game.
Being a hockey fan, I really enjoyed being there to see the Stanley Cup being presented even though my team wasn't playing. I would have wished that the Red Wings had won to see the excitment of the hometown fans plus the fact that a Newfoundlander, Dan Cleary had a chance to win his second cup. But I got to see and enjoy a good bunch of young hockey players win the Cup for the first time. We stayed around for almost two hours after the game to soak in the on ice celebrations and we took some photos. I have included some of them below. Some have Dan Cleary of Harbour Grace, NL (#11) in them plus there are some of the Penguins celebrating. I also took a shot of a couple of Newfies from Hant's Harbour (in the Habs jerseys) that I met there. They live in Sarnia and were having a good time. There is also one of me and Cheryl taken overlooking the St. Claire River.
It was a very memorable Father's Day treat for me. Plus I stayed in Toronto and Cheryl and I got to visit and have lunch at the Mandarin in Rexdale on Sunday with Pat and Evelyn, Lucy, Junior and Nora, Kevin, Josie and Julie as well as Bob. We then dropped by Junior and Nora's for a visit and saw Christopher too. Unfortunately I blew the battery on my camera at the hockey game and Cheryl forgot to take hers so I don't have a photo to share of the visit. They are all looking good and we had an enjoyable meal.
As for summer plans, Cheryl is coming for a visit from July 3-10 and Junior and Nora are coming from July 25-Aug 11 while Gladys and I are going to Toronto from Aug 11-29. If any of you guys have plans for the summer please forward them along. If you are coming this way we would love to see you. If not we still love to hear of any vacation plans.
Sorry I haven't updated in a long time and I won't make any excuses. I will try to be a little more diligent in the future.
Cheers and stay in touch.
