Mid Winter Report From Marystown - Feb. 29

Hi everyone:
Just a little update on happenings here in Marystown. We have made it through February without too much snow. As you can see from the photos below taken yesterday we have little of the white stuff left. Also there is nothing in the long range forecast for the next two weeks. But we are in Newfoundland so I guess I shouldn't boast yet. I am kind of hoping this weather continues and leads to an early golfing season. Since winter for us started in early December it has gone on long enough.
Am recovering well from some minor surgery on my leg last week. Even though it put an early end to my hockey season, I should be all recovered for the golf season.
Everybody is doing well here. We all have experienced the cold or flu sometime througout the winter. Bernadette, Alv and Boyd are all back to work at the plant which is under new ownership now having been sold by FPI. Hopefully, this will mean stability and lots of work there. Joan, Gladys and I are all working all the time. It is a little slow with us now since the winter has stopped here so our outdoor business has taken a hit. We have lots to do as we are now getting ready for the motorcycle season. We sell Suzuki motorcycles and this year are introducing a line of 3 wheeled motorcycles called Ural. They are Russian built and have a side car. As well they can be driven on road or off road in all types of weather. Should be interesting.
Cheryl is off to India for a vacation in a couple of weeks. I think one of her friends is getting married there. Should be a very interesting holiday. Gladys and I will be going to London in September for a week and possibly to somewhere else in Europe for a week.
Pretty much all from here. If you have any news please drop a line and I will upload. As well please send any photos of yourselves or your families and I will upload them. Please feel free to make a comment - good or bad.
Look forward to seeing all of you this spring or summer.
All the best.
Barry
