At Sea

Today we will be at sea all day and arrive in our last stop which is Lerwick, in northern Scotland. The weather outside is a little cooler with the high temperature coming in around 9C.

There are lots of things going on around the ship and all the spots are busy as everyone is aboard today. Most days most of the people will be ashore so all activities are filled. We went to breakfast and had difficulty finding a place to sit down to eat. After we walked around the ship for a while sporting my Dildo shirt which is getting lots of looks and comments. Mostly people are asking where in Newfoundland are you from? My next day at sea I will wear my "Elbows Up" tee shirt which may get a few looks from people especially Americans of which there are many onboard.

Gladys is going to bingo this afternoon while I may find something else to do.

In the meantime I went for a walk early this morning and took a few photos around the ship to share. It's difficult to get the main cafeteria as there is always people there. It's probably the busiest spot on the ship especially in the morning.

We had another lovely dinner this evening at the Moonlight Sonata Restaurant. Every evening once we sit down they bring us some bread along with some spreads to get us started. There are usually bread sticks, French type bread along with a roll as well as three different spreads like butter, horseradish, avocado, etch. Then comes the starter which today was Beef Carpaccio for me and a Broccoli soup for Gladys. For our entree Gladys and I both had lamb while we both settled on the cartelized apple dessert.

Our room. This one shows the bed out through to our veranda.

This one shows the other side of the room with the dresser & desk on the left and our sofa & closet on the right. Our bathroom is on the right of the entrance door in the photo.

A few of the bars located around the ship.

The Pool Bar - located at the far end of the pool.

The Mast Bar - Smokers area outside here.

The Sunset Bar located on the rear of the ship.

The Sky Lounge located on the front of the ship. There are a few photos from inside the lounge.

The Martini Bar

The Cellar Masters - usually specialty drinks and wine for the hoity toity crowd!

The track area where I walk as well some outside activity areas. The track is 250 metres and I lined with deck chairs which haven't seen much use this trip.

Croquet is played on this section.

This is the big outdoor movie screen. Not sure how much this got used this trip.

Of course my beloved putting green. I've used it twice.

The area in front of the big screen is used for this ball on strings tossing game as well as bocce.
