Notre Dame Basilica Montreal

During our recent visit to Montreal from January 13 - 16 Gladys and I visited the famous Notre Dame Basilica. While there we toured throughout the magnificent building and attended 12:15 Mass which was held in the Glass Chapel, a small area which has glass walls on two sides so that daily mass for a small number of people can be said. The mass was in French so needless to say we didn't understand too much of what was being said. We could, however, follow along with the mass as the same rituals are followed. I guess we missed out on a nice sermon.

We did light some candles for some special intentions as well. You were allowed to take photos inside the Basilica so after our guided tour we took some shots which you can see below.
