Happy New Year 2009 From Jr & Nora in Toronto

Hi all:

Heard from Junior and Nora. They pass along greetings for a Happy and Prosperous 2009. Nora also passed along a few photos taken during a get together over Christmas at her house. Janice didn't get home for Christmas this year as she had to work during the holidays.

You'll see Pat & Evelyn there along with Junior & Nora, Brian & Josie, Terry & Gayanne. On one photo Jr is finishing off the last of some bottled duck I sent along. There is a photo of Chris and Terry King's Matthew as well. The first photo is of Nora and Junior's Christmas tree.

Thanks very much for the photos and I'll look forward to getting some more in the future.

Cheers
Barry

Christmas in Moncton 2008

Hey all:

Below are a couple of photos of Kevin and Diane's tree this year as well as a photo of Diane's clan all with their hats on. These hats and some more were knit by Diane's dad for all his children and their families. Pretty neat, eh! See if you can pick out Kevin, Diane, Cory and Matt. Don't look for Adam as he was looking for the remote while the photo was taken! Poor excuse.

Kevin and Diane and family pass along regards for the Christmas season and best wishes for a Happy and Prosperous 2009.

Enjoy
Barry

Marystown Photos

Hey everyone:

Haven't heard much back from some of you guys. I do hope you take a look at this and send us a little information and some photos to upload.

I have a few photos taken here and up at Joan's last night that you may enjoy seeing. You can see Boyd all decked out in his Red Wing gear from the glasses down. With our weather, he'll only get to wear the glasses inside. There's one of Joan's tree too.

Enjoy and please send us some pics. Btw, Kevin did the tree go on sale!!!

Christmas in Moncton, New Brunswick

Hi there:
It seems that Kevin doesn't have his tree up yet and he has a good reason. According to him, "We are waiting for our Christmas Tree to go on special and it won't be until the 21st. We are planning on going artificial for the first time. It is very hard to get a 12 foot + tree and it is murder trying to get it up and secure."

In that case I'll include a photo of his new 46inch HD television which came a little early for Christmas. I think that is the reason for the smaller tree. Doesn't want to block that tv so he can see all those car races in high definition.

Ah! I'm just jealous!

Greetings from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia

Hi there:

Here are a few photos of Gerard and Kathy's tree. It's a cute little guy but a tiny bit smaller than the Nova Scotia trees we buy over here.

Kathy says, "All is well here in Dartmouth, things are getting a little bit busier for us as we prepare to leave for Victoria BC. Yes we finally took the plunge to visit Aaron and Ryan over the holidays. We leave this Friday Dec. 19th and return New Years day!

We are both looking forward to it as we have numerous friends there that we haven’t seen is some time.

Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas and a bright New Year!"

Christmas in the Hat

Hey there:

Hello from Medicine Hat where it is -35 and lots of snow.. Merry Christmas from the Hynes family.

Below is a photo of Tracey's and Leo's tree in Medicine Hat. Hoping to hear of their Christmas plans soon to update this entry.

Also there is a couple of photos of Josh at hockey. One where he recently won player of the game honours for stopping 27 of 30 shots. Way to go Josh!! H also had his photo on the cover of Sports Illustrated. I think he would look much better in a Habs uniform! Leo and I agree but Cheryl disagrees!!

Merry Christmas From Marystown 2008

Hi Everyone:
Just a note to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Prosperous New Year in 2009. There isn't a lot of news to report from this area. Like all of you we are looking forward to Christmas and a little break from the everyday world. A little time to sit back, relax and enjoy the company.
Cheryl is coming home on December 23 and will return to Toronto on January 4. The long range forecast looks good so hopefully it will stay that way. As you know the weather in Newfoundland is rather unpredictable this time of year. Gladys's sister Sandra, her husband Chuck as well as sons Ben and Zack from Kentville, NS, will be home for Christmas this year. It will be the first time in Newfoundland for the boys for Christmas.
I have attached a photo of our Christmas tree below and hopefully some of you will take a moment to forward me a photo of your tree as well so I can post it. Also it would be nice to receive a photo or two of all of you. Everyone looks forward to seeing pictures so Please send them along.
Once again, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
Cheers!

Marystown News

Hi all:
Not much happening here in Marystown. The weather is failry warm - still in double digits - but fairly damp. I am back at work the past 3 weeks and so there isn't much time to do anything else these days. Even though the golf course is still open I haven't played in over two weeks.
All the crowd are working away at the fishplant. There doesn't seem to be any downtime for them for a while at least.

The only bit of news here is that Tyler got rid of his curly locks on Saturday past. I did take a photo of him yesterday and put it alongside one of him taked in August of this year to let you see a before and after of him with his short locks. From what I can gather it was a spur of the moment thing with him. It looks pretty good but I'm not sure if he is ok with it now that the curls are gone. Anyway I thought you guys may enjoy the photo.

Stay in touch.

Cheers,

Barry

Cheryl's Toronto Condo

Hey all:

Below are a few photos of Cheryl's condo which she moved into in July of this year. It's a two bedroom place located at Yonge and Summerhill. Gladys and I visited in early October to help her get some things done like hanging pictures, mirrors and curtains. She loves her place and it's easy to see why. We also liked it too. She has a real nice balcony with a great view of the downtown skyline. Enjoy the photos and maybe those of you outside Toronto will get to visit her sometime.

Thanksgiving 2008 in Toronto

Hi there:

We'll we've been to Toronto and back. I spent a couple of weeks there in early October and helped Cheryl out with her condo - hanging a few pictures and mirrors. Gladys came for the second week so she could help with curtains and things.

While there we had all the Stacey's come for a visit on Thanksgiving Day for pizza - sorry not turkey!! Maybe next time. It was nice to see Pat and Evelyn, Lucy, Junior and Nora, Brian, Josie and Julie as well as Bob. Cheryl's friend Nicole who happened to be in Toronto for a visit that weekend dropped by and was kind enough to take a group photo for us. She also tried and loved lips and snouts and wrinkles.

I've posted a few photos below. I'll post a few of Cheryl's condo in another post.

Hope all is well with everyone.
Cheers!
