Surprise Visitor in Dartmouth

Hi all:
Below is a photo of Gerard and Shadow(Bob Cousins) who showed up in Dartmouth recently to show the Air Force, I believe, how to use a piece of equipment. While there he dropped in on Gerard and Kathy. Are both these guys on Grecian???

Some Photos From Julie in Toronto

Hi all:
Here is a little note and a few photos of Julie and her mother and father taken during March break recently. Looks like a nice place to be what with our recent weather. I look forward to seeing some photos of others in their trips down south in the near future.
Hope you all have a nice Easter and don't eat too much chocolate.
Take care and I look forward to hearing from you. Thanks Julie.
Barry

Julie's Note:
I just wanted to send you a few photos from our March Break Vacation. We actually went to Aruba! It was a very fun exciting trip, until the last few days for me, I ended up getting sick and having to go to the doctor's the day we got back. I later found out that I had strep throat:( The sad thing is that this was not only our bad experience we missed the first day of our vacation because our flight got delayed in Charlotte North Carolina. Besides these few mishaps we had a great time. Hope to see you guys soon! Love Julie

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Hi Everyone:
It seems like I may have boasted a little early and winter hasn't quite gone away yet. We had 10-15 cm of snow on Thursday and another 5 overnight last night. As well there are a few more cm coming on Monday, St. Paddy's Day. I guess it's the so called Sheila's Brush which refers to the last snowfall of winter which comes on or near St. Patrick's Day. With that in mind here's a St. Patrick's Day greeting for all of you from here in Marystown.

AN IRISH FRIENDSHIP WISH
May there always be work for your hands to do;
May your purse always hold a coin or two;
May the sun always shine on your windowpane;
May a rainbow be certain to follow each rain;
May the hand of a friend always be near you;
May God fill your heart with gladness to cheer you.
As well you may be aware of some birthdays coming up in the family the first week of April. Here are the dates but I had better not mention the ages. Actually I'm not quite sure except that Kevin will be 57.
April 1 - Terry Stacey Medicine Hat AB
April 2 - Bob Stacey Toronto ON
April 3 - Mother Marystown NL 85th
April 4 - Kevin Moncton NB
April 7 - Bernadette Marystown NL
Hope all is well with everyone and I look forward to hearing from you all!!!!

Who would have thunk it!! TO vs Marystown

Hi all:
Who would have thought this could happen! Below are a couple of photos sent by Terry King of him and Robert enjoying the snow in Toronto on March 9,2008. I've taken a couple of photos of my driveway on March 9, 2008. Not many would have thought this of home, eh! Maybe it's global warming and it's time for y'all to move back here. It was a beautiful day again here and for the rest of the week more of the same just a few degrees warmer. Thoughts of golf are entering my head early this year.

News From Victoria, British Columbia

Hey there:

Here's some news and photos from Aaron and Ryan out it beautiful Victoria, British Columbia. Included is a few photos of their new condo. One photo inlcudes Aaron's beautiful young girlfriend, Kim.
Thanks for the news Aaron.
Barry

It's been a busy few months with work and moving into my new condo with Ryan. We bought ourselves a two bedroom/two bathroom 980sq-ft unit. You'll never guess how much this shoe box cost us. $287,000 dollars!!!! I'd hate to see what we could buy back east for that kinda money. Here in Victoria it'll get you a unit our size in a suburb 20km out of town. And that's a damn good price for one. For a house you'd be looking in the neighbourhood of about $500,000 for a starter home. It's insane. Glad to hear you guys are all doing well out there. I can't belive how much everyone's grown up. Last time I saw Tyler I think he was 5 or 6. Can't really say much about the weather out here other than it rains almost every day from November till about June. When we do get a brief sunny day I've been trying to sneak in a round of golf if I can. You tend to lose a lot of balls in the mud this time of year though. I'm planning on getting a new set of clubs this spring to replace the ones I bought a year and a half ago. I'm going to need to get them specially made so they fit my height. There's a place in town that does it for free if you get the clubs from them and they usualy have pretty decent deals. Ryan has been doing well too. He's working as a carpenter having just completed his second year in College for it. Likes his job a lot. I'm working for Shaw Cable out here doing tech support. Did the college thing too and graduated back in 06'. I was back in Halifax in November to see Dad and Kathy for two weeks. Had a really good time there. Their house is huge. The basement is about as big as my condo....actually I think it's about 400sq-ft bigger. Make sure you stop in next time you're in the neighbourhood. Heck, stop in here if you're ever on the west coast! I'll stick a few pictures of the new place in here. I'm perticularly fond of the 105' HD projector TV. You can watch the Maple Leafs lose game after game in high definition. I also get NTV and ATV out here so it's nice to watch that to see how things are going on the east coast. Working for the cable company has it's advantages. Hope everyone out there is doing well. Glad to hear that the plant is open again and that everyone is back to work. Next time I'm in Marystown I might have to take one of those new Suzukis for a test drive. Take er easy.
