Photos from Julie in Brampton, ON

Hi there:

Just received a note from Julie in Toronto and she sent along a few photographs taken recently at home during Christmas and also during a skate including held by the Brampton Battalion Junior hockey team with whom Julie volunteers at each home game. Nice relaxing photos of her mom and dad during the holidays.

There is one photo of Julie with Cody Hodgson wearing his gold medal which he won while representing Canada at the 2009 World Junior Championships held in Ottawa recently. Also she is pictured with Evgeny Grachev who played on Team Russia during the same tournament and he helped Team Russia to a bronze medal and was selected player of the game for his team in a 6-5 shootout loss to Canada in the semi-finals.

There is also with one with her brother Melvin, her nephew Justin and herself at a skate, one of with Justin with Matt Duchene of the Battalion Julie also included another two pictures, one with her niece Sara as well as Sara and her dog.

Thanks Julie.

Happy New Year 2009 From Pat & Evelyn in Toronto

Hey there:

Finally got a photo from Pat. Nice job on the tree Evelyn but a poor job trying to hide in the photo. Hope there is more to follow. Here's a nice photo of their Christmas tree. Notice that Santa made a visit but I don't see any stockings hanging there.

Feel free to send along anything at anytime.

I just received a note from Colin in St. John's. He hopes you all had a nice Christmas and wishes everyone the best in the upcoming year. He also sent along a few photos of himself, his daughter Hope as well as Pam and Danny's two children Devon and Katherine. Looks like they are in the Christmas spirit. New Year's Eve in Newfoundland

Hi all:

We wish you a very Happy and Prosperous 2009. We rang in the 2009 with a little stay at home celebration here. Mom and some of Gladys's family joined us in some food and drink throughout the evening.

Since it was such a beautiful night we went out on the balcony to watch the fireworks as the clock struck midnight. We could see up and down the harbour and the whole sky was lit up with fireworks.

We took some photos and I'll include a few below for your enjoyment. I think you can see from the photos that we had a great time. Cheryl is home until Sunday and she flies back to Toronto on Sunday afternoon. There is a storm in the forecast for Saturday evening and night so we hope it will be all over by Sunday morning. Once again have a great new year and we look forward to hearing from you all soon.

Cheers!
Barry
