Brian and Julie at the Daytona 500

Hi there:
Below are some photos of Julie and her dad, Brian at the recent Daytona 500 as well as her description of the good time they had. Sounds like fun. Maybe someday I'll have to go there to see if I can learn to appreciate the sport!
Cheers,
Barry

Here are a few pictures from Speedweek! So hard to choose a few! We had an amazing time and now I have to figure a way to convince my mom to come next year! We had all access pass and a place to 5th Turn (there is a picture of my dad inside) and that is where we went before and after the race for drinks and food! It was a huge place with 5 different rooms. We were at the track from Thursday to Sunday. We got to take in all the practices and races, including the night race. The first day we got there my dad and I were walking outside the track towards the tram to take us under the track into the infield and we heard a very LOUD noise zoom by. By the time my dad looked it was gone! I will never forget his face! I also couldn't believe how many people were there on the big day! It was packed ! I did take the time to stock up on my Dale Jr collection, a teddy bear, a foam finger, one thing that was hard to find was clothes! THank God I could fit into kids clothes so my dad got me a shirt for the day of the 500! I was so sad when Dale Jr crashed on the last laps but I changed my headset over and listened in on the young kid Trevor Bayne's radio. It was amazing experience!

Hockey Photos from Medicine Hat, AB

Hello there:

Not much news to report here on the Rock. Winter hit us really hard from late January until the first week of March but since then most of the snow we had melted away and we are now waiting for some warmer days to make the grass grow so the golf course will open. At least I am waiting.
Everybody is doing fine. The fishplant is back in operation after the strike by the trawlermen so hopefully they will be open for most of the year. Tyler is finishing up his last year of school and has applied to Memorial University to do engineering - not sure which branch of engineering. His marks in school are great - his latest report showed a 90+ average. Keep it up.
I have some photos that Leo and Tracey passed along. A few are of Josh and his hockey games. Josh is the goaltender in the photos - if he keeps playing he would look good in a Habs uniform. :-)) Also there are a couple of photos of Emma, one of Tracey and one of Leo in his Habs jersey with a Tim Horton look-alike. Don't know who the person is and don't like his sweather!!!! Tracey looks a little glum there - not sure if she's turning her eyes at Leo or not! Probably!!
I have also included a photo of Pat and his two sons, Randy and Colin. Pat was in CBS with Pamela and Danny doing some snow clearing over the winter so he came to Marystown along with the boys to visit mom before he went back to Toronto. This photo was taken during that visit.
The following is a list of Stacey family birthdays during the first week of April. You'll notice one big one there:
April 1 Terry Stacey
April 2 Bob Stacey
April 3 Mom 88th
April 4 Kevin Stacey Big 60
April 7 Bernadette Stacey
Hope all is well with everyone out there. Stay in touch.
Cheers
Barry
